General

Documents pertaining to the slaying of physics professor Edward Cooperman on October 13, 1984, in his office on the sixth floor of the science building at California State University, Fullerton.

Minh Van Lam, a Vietnamnese refugee and student of Cooperman's, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter, the trial concluding that Lam had shot Cooperman accidentally when handling Cooperman's handgun.

The trial was marked by assertions of Cooperman committing espionage for the Communist Vietnam government, and that his death was a political assassination.
