The McLennan Collection of Sitwelliana includes the works of and about Sir Osbert Sitwell and his brother, Sacheverell Sitwell. The first named was a distinguished English poet and novelist, the younger brother was also a poet and an art critic. They were the brothers of Dame Edith Sitwell and were members of a family of British eccentrics and intellectuals. The items in this collection were collected by Mr. Lester W. McLennan over a period of several years. Mr. McLennan was an early member and officer of the library's support group. He donated the collection between 1973-1975. The published volumes date 1909-1979.
